Official says Crimea to continue gas production in Black Sea

SIMFEROPOL, Jun 23 (PRIME) -- Crimea will continue gas production in the Black Sea despite a recent attack of the Ukrainian military against drilling platforms of Chernomorneftegaz, Georgy Muradov, Crimea’s permanent representative to the Russian president, told PRIME on Thursday.

“The residents of Crimea have worked at the Black Sea deposits, and will continue to work. The facilities are the republic’s property and the source of energy necessary for the region and the Russian economy,” he said.

Three platforms of Chernomorneftegaz were attacked on Monday. According to the latest information, three people were hurt, and seven people are missing.
